We just had a miracle in our family at 1:42 this morning. My grandson was born, weighing in at 8 Lbs, 13 oz!. He was 5 days late and I have been praying the rosary every day for his safe arrival. I was home sleeping so I have only seen a picture but he is beautiful.

I just ordered my RAINBOW rosary beads from the WMF web site. Kind of excited that they are even carrying them!

Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput recently responded to one of the Equally Blessed pilgrims who will attend the World Meeting of Families this September in Philadelphia, along with almost two dozen others who want to make sure that LGBT families and voices are heard.
Susanne's original letter appears below, followed by Archbishop Caput's letter.
Dear Archbishop Chaput,

My husband and I had the unfortunate occasion to attend a funeral this past week. Lionel was a good man who had been very ill for a very long time. I'm more than certain he was welcomed into heaven immediately upon arrival.

Since the article is out, I think it's ok to write part of what I shared with interviewer.
Dear Pope Francis,
I’m a parish-less practicing Catholic in Detroit.
I’m a trans FtM Asian Catholic, a child of God just like you and others. I have this nudging inside me to become a monk (a brother, not priest) since I was little, but as of now no order had been accepting of me, as a brother due to my Trans status.

In my youthful days, if I was not spending time at the beach during a month long summer vacation, I was usually outside venturing in the woods. Even though I was born in the boom of Nintendo and other TV games, my parents had forbidden me from having such toys or any toys for that matter. So my playmates were automatically selected to those out in nature, where numerous spiritual brothers & sisters reside.

My Independence Day weekend was a very quiet one as my husband worked all weekend so I sat around and read a lot. I also crocheted more rainbow hearts and admired my tye-dyed rainbow sneakers I made for Deb and I. Here's a photo of what they look like.
