God's Plan For Me

Hello fellow pilgrims and visitors to these pages,

I have felt so blessed to be a part of this wonderful pilgrimage and the idea of meeting in person the rest of our pilgrims and others from around the world. I have been talking about it all summer, made about 100 crocheted rainbow hearts and have just located another bag of them....after I had sent the first batch in.

As September rolls in, I am grateful for so many things in my life. The arrival of my grandson Wyatt, (yes, there will be pics), a trip to Bar Harbor I am making with my husband and of course WMF. I have sent out a few letters to the editor and so far have no response. I have reached out to a couple LGBT groups and again, no response. I am choosing not to be discouraged, I am choosing to let God handle it. He's the one behind this pilgrimage so He can handle my details.

We just had a miracle in our family at 1:42 this morning. My grandson was born, weighing in at 8 Lbs, 13 oz!. He was 5 days late and I have been praying the rosary every day for his safe arrival. I was home sleeping so I have only seen a picture but he is beautiful.

Rosary Beads

I just ordered my RAINBOW rosary beads from the WMF web site. Kind of excited that they are even carrying them!

My husband and I had the unfortunate occasion to attend a funeral this past week. Lionel was a good man who had been very ill for a very long time. I'm more than certain he was welcomed into heaven immediately upon arrival.

my weekend

My Independence Day weekend was a very quiet one as my husband worked all weekend so I sat around and read a lot. I also crocheted more rainbow hearts and admired my tye-dyed rainbow sneakers I made for Deb and I. Here's a photo of what they look like.

Waiting seems to be my theme for this summer. Right now, I am waiting for many family and friends to gather at my house for a baby shower for my youngest daughter, Megan. Waiting for Sara and Lauren to arrive from Baltimore. Waiting for my sister and family to arrive from Massachusetts for the weekend. Waiting for the contingent from Maine to arrive. Waiting for Lauren's mom, Debbie (who is also making this pilgrimage), her daughter Lindsey and fiancee Mike.

Getting ready

It's June already and I am getting ready for our teleconference tonight. I'm hoping to get the video chat running tonight, it is hard on the phone to know who is who. I'm anxious to meet all the other pilgrims.

Meet Karen

Hi, my name is Karen Kelley and I live in Burlington, Vermont. My husband Paul and I are active Catholics who love and support our adult children, including our daughter Sara and her spouse Lauren, who were recently married.
